RIVER VALLEY

This is an ongoing photography project that began in 2017 that comprises the Middle Rio Grande Valley in central New Mexico. The Middle Valley is typically defined as extending from Cochiti Dam, north of Albuquerque, downstream 160 river miles to San Marcial, New Mexico. The valley consists of the Rio Grande and the bosque habitat that runs along both sides of the river. The valley has a long history of human habitation and this project explores the river ecosystem, riparian habitat and human activity along this place that tracks through the middle of the New Mexico desert landscape.
